One of the most popular shrines for foreign guests in Japan is Itsukushima Shrine in Miyajima Island (Hiroshima Prefecture). In this shrine there is a huge red torii gate in the sea. The shrine buildings also protrude into the sea. The landscape is constantly changing due to the tides. The scenery is wonderful. If you are going to Hiroshima, please take a time to enjoy this Shinto shrine that changes the atmosphere beautifully in the changing nature.
