The Kanto region consists of 7 prefectures located in the Kanto plain. Its central part has developed as the Tokyo Metropolis (a vast urban area centered on Tokyo).

There are many JR railway networks and private railroads, and the trains are operated accurately in seconds. Basically, these railway networks are structured so that people can move efficiently in and around Tokyo center. The population of Tokyo Metropolis is about 35 million.

The regions in the Kanto Plain are gradually closely connected with the Tokyo that continues to expand. However, on the other hand, the areas far from Tokyo still have beautiful scenery and life culture unique to the land. And those areas are crowded with tourists from Tokyo.

Welcome to Kanto!
