In Osaka, it is the coldest time of the year from late January to early February. Sometimes it snows, however there is almost no snow accumulation.
There are many sunny days in February but the wind is very cold. If you are not good at being in cold weather, it would be nice to have mufflers and gloves.
If you go around temples and shrines then you will stay outdoors for a long period of time. Because your body will get cold, you should be careful. In Japanese drug stores and convenience stores, you can buy disposable body warmers as seen in the picture above.
Disposable body warmers get warmer after taking them out of the plastic bag. The price is less than 20 yen per piece. Please try using them.
In late February the temperature will rise a little, however, the wind may be strong. Since the end of February to March will be the transition period from winter to spring, the weather will become unstable. The number of rainy days will increase during this time.
