The maximum temperature during the day in Tokyo in August exceeds 30 degrees Celsius almost every day. Recently it has exceeded 35 degrees and has reached nearly 40 degrees. Humidity is also high. If it is dry, I think that it is still easy to spend, but because it is high humidity it will be uncomfortable even if you are not moving

I strongly want many people to visit Japan. So, I started this site. However, I do not want you to feel uncomfortable, I will dare to emphasize. It is very hot in August.

If you go to Tokyo in August, I recommend three things. First, in hot areas such as Tokyo, do not walk around with too much overcrowding schedules. Please be careful not to exhaust your physical strength. From time to time, please take a break at the place where the air conditioner was effective and refill the moisture.

Secondly, I recommend that you take advantage of relatively cool morning and evening and later. I also recommend you go to sightseeing spots where air conditioning worked in the hotest time.

In Japan there is the word “yuu-suzumi” from long ago. This means getting outdoors in the cooler evening. Let’s have fun in “yuu-suzumi” during the evening and sunset (past 7 pm).

Thirdly, I recommend that you go to relatively cool areas such as Hokkaido and highlands of Honshu in addition to Tokyo in August. Combine with Tokyo and make nice memories!

There is a risk that a typhoon will hit Tokyo in August. So be sure to check the latest weather forecast. If the typhoon is coming when you stay in Tokyo, be careful not to tour on a busy schedule.
