If you go to Kyoto in December, I recommend going to Arashiyama at night. You can enjoy the fantastic illumination “Hanatouro” of Arashiyama on the middle of December night. At Keifuku Arashiyama Station, you can also experience the illumination called “Kimono Forest”. It’s very crowded on weekends, so you should go on a weekday night!
