Personally, my favorite view of Mt. Fuji is the sunrise seen from the northern coast of Lake Motosu on the north side of Mt. Fuji. There is little artificial lighting around Lake Motosu, so you can witness Mt. Fuji as seen by ancient Japanese. The scenery seen from here is printed on a Japanese 1000 yen bill. Previously, I stayed at the “Koan” campground bungalow here and saw the sunrise on Mt. Fuji. The beauty seen at that time cannot be expressed in words.
