If you visit Kyoto, be sure to stroll along the historic hill roads. In particular, I recommend Sannei-zaka (Sannen-zaka) and Ninei-zaka (Ninen-zaka) around Kiyomizu-dera Temple. There are many fashionable souvenir shops and restaurants. I think you will have a good time!
