The climate of Osaka is roughly the same as other major cities in Honshu such as Tokyo. In April, days that exceed 20 degree high temperatures are abundant. The weather is generally good so you can go around sightseeing spots comfortably.
It is warm, so you probably won’t need jumpers and such during the day. However, in the evening the temperature will be lower by more than 10 degrees from noon temperatures. If you are outdoors at night for the purpose of viewing the cherry blossoms, I think that it would be wise to bring a jumper.
In the end of April, the sunlight becomes much stronger. On sunny days, you may not need cardigans or similar clothing items during the day. However, let’s keep in mind that it will be cooler at night.

In early April, cherry blossoms will be in full bloom in various parts of Osaka. The days will continue to be warm but sometimes cold winter-like days return. It will rain occasionally, so please prepare an umbrella.
If you plan to see the cherry blossoms at night, bring a jacket as the temperature sometimes falls below 10 degrees.

In mid-April, in Osaka, cherry blossoms will have scattered quite a bit but from April 10th-15th you will likely be able to see them.
After that, the trees will change to a fresh and beautiful green color.
During this time, the daytime maximum temperature may exceed 25 degrees Celsius. However, it is still cool in the morning and evening, so bring a cardigan or more. You should also expect occasional rain.

In late April, the temperature is not too hot and not too cold. It will be very comfortable and it will rain less often. In Osaka, this is one of the best seasons to travel. However, expect other tourists to also take advantage of this time and to crowd popular tourist spots.
In Japan, from around April 29th to around May 5th, the “Golden Week” begins featuring many holidays. During this period, the tourist destinations are very crowded. Hotels and planes are expensive as a result as well.
