Mt. Moiwa is located about 5 km from the center of Sapporo. It is only 530.9m above sea level, but the view from the summit observatory is spectacular. To get to the observatory, you must first take a cable car or car to the middle of the mountain. To get to the top of the mountain, you’ll need to take a mini-cable car. This is one of the best places in Japan to see the night view from the top of the mountain, and it’s very popular with couples and families.
