On this page, let’s take a virtual walk through the Rikugien Garden. Rikugien is one of the most beautiful Japanese gardens in Tokyo. It was built by Yoshiyasu YANAGISAWA, who was a powerful Daimyo (feudal lord) in the Edo period. It is said that Shogun Tsunayoshi TOKUGAWA often visited this garden at that time. The trees are illuminated each spring and autumn, so it’s especially recommended to visit at that time.
