Overview
In June, many areas of Japan are entering the rainy season. There are many rainy days in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto and more. On rainy days, there are few people visiting temples and shrines so you can explore in a quiet atmosphere. It is also true that you cannot avoid the heat and humidity.
However, Hokkaido is not humid, making it an ideal environment during this time. There are many days that have a maximum temperature that exceeds 25 degrees Celsius but the humidity is relatively low. Therefore, it is more comfortable than other areas of Japan during this time.
Although it will rain, there is not a long rainy season like Tokyo or Osaka. In sightseeing spots such as Biei town and Furano, you will be able to see beautiful flower gardens.

During this time, a large-scale dance festival called the “YOSAKOI Soran Festival” will be held at Odori Park in the center of Sapporo. A total of 30,000 dancers gather as well as about 2 million tourists.
