If you want to go hiking somewhere in Japan, try the World Heritage-listed “Kumano Kodo”. It is the ancient pilgrimage routes to the three Grand Shrines of Kumano (Wakayama Prefecture). There are many Kumano Kodo in the Kii Peninsula, Honshu’s largest peninsula. Every road is filled with a mysterious atmosphere.
