From the end of January to the middle of February, the “Lake Shikotsu Ice Festival” will be held at Shikotsuko-onsen in Central Hokkaido, which is about 30 minutes by car from New Chitose Airport. Shikotsuko-onsen is a hot spring town on the shores of Lake Shikotsu. At this festival, large and small ice statues will be exhibited. Ice slides and skating rinks will also be opened.
