The weather in Osaka is roughly the same as Tokyo. But in summer it is somewhat hotter and more humid than Tokyo.
In early July, the rainy season is still in effect. The rainy season ends roughly around the 20th of July. At the latest, Osaka will enter the summer at that time.
In summer, the maximum temperature in Osaka exceeds 35 degrees and it is also damp. For these reasons it is dangerous to walk outdoors for a long time. There are days when it is very dangerous to exercise outside.
I would like you to come to Japan but I cannot help being honest when I say that Japan’s summer is very hot.
I used to live in Osaka. From that experience, I have concluded that Osaka is a bit hotter than Tokyo. This has been proved by weather data as well.
The city area in Osaka, except Osaka Castle Park etc., is less green and the asphalt road absorbs the strong sunlight making it hotter. If you are going to sightsee in Osaka during July, please be careful to avoid having a heat stroke.
When outside, please try to drink water frequently. If possible, from time to time, please rest yourself in a cool air-conditioned building.
The temperature is slightly lower in the morning and will decrease from the evening to night. I encourage you to walk outside during these times as it is more efficient.
