Hakkoda Mountains (Aomori Prefecture) is one of the most snowy areas in the world. In 1902, there was an incident in which 199 of the 210 soldiers in the Japanese Army Corps were frozen to death. Currently, there is a ski resort here. You can experience heavy snowfall, especially in January-February. There are also hot springs such as Sukayu. However, please collect information and take measures against cold in advance.
